What is Yin Yoga?
Yin and Yin Restorative Yoga with Kim includes a dozen or so physical postures held for 3-7 minutes with meditation, mindfulness, and moments of contemplation woven between breaths.
Our world is full of challenges, making it difficult to feel the depths of our emotions some days.
Our bodies end up “holding” the tensions between what we sense and what we are able to withstand.
We are wired to survive.
Our nervous systems can become overwhelmed when we are forced to exist in survival mode.
Yin and Yin Restorative Yoga offer you a chance to experience intentional pausing, breathing, and taking a break from whatever is activating, stressing, and demanding attention from your nervous system.
Yin and Yin Restorative Yoga are excellent supplemental practices to anyone who lives with Anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, depression or for those of us who are neurodivergent and our minds need intentional rest to avoid burnout.
I have used Yin Yoga personally and am grateful to offer it to you.
Join a class and spend the full class period in a single pose to cultivate stillness or flow with me through 5-10 poses where I will guide you, offer modifications, and points of reflection for you at each breath.
Waves are best surfed in community so we can pull each other out when we get stuck.
In community - digital and in person, we can cultivate a sense of communal safety.
